Per the requirements of the Marquette City Charter, "the city commission shall provide by resolution for the time and place of its regular meetings and shall hold at least two regular meetings each month."

 The proposed 2025 City Commission regular meeting calendar is attached. As usual, meetings are proposed to be held at 6 p.m. on the second and last Monday of each month, with a few exceptions.

Following the adoption earlier this month of amendments to the City Charter, all meetings can be held at a time and date determined by the City Commission; previously, the Charter required a meeting be held at 7 p.m. on the Monday following the general election.

 The only proposed shift from the calendars of previous years involves that first meeting in November, which is proposed to be held at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of the month. This shift will allow for the canvassing and certification of the general election prior to newly elected City Commissioners being sworn in.
