BACKGROUND:

City staff routinely evaluates the motor pool fleet for obsolete and high mileage equipment. The following light duty vehicles have been recommended for sale due to high maintenance issues and frame corrosion.

777: 2007 GMC Canyon (Cracked frame)

844: 2014 Dodge Charger (Bad Transmission/Transaxle)

843: 2014 Dodge Charger (Bad Transmission/Transaxle)

748: 2005 Dodge Durango (Bad Body)

791: 2008 Ford E250 (Bad Body, Electrical issues)

835: 2014 Ford E250 (Bad Body)

849: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee (High Mileage/Frame)

813: 2011 Ford F250 (Bad Body, Bad Transmission)

FISCAL EFFECT:

Proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will be credited to the City’s Motor Pool Fund - Sale of Fixed Assets.

RECOMMENDATION:

Declare multiple light duty vehicles as surplus, and authorize City staff to prepare the vehicle for auction.

As determined by the Commission.
