| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | | FEMA has recently updated flood maps which requires an update to the City Code along with an updated intergovernmental agreement between Marquette County and the City of Marquette. This agreement will ensure that the Marquette County building department will continue to enforce rules regarding development in floodplains. The Marquette County Board authorized approval of this agreement at their April 2, 2024 meeting. |

| | | | | | | | | RECOMMENDATION: | | Approve the Michigan Community Resolution and Intergovernmental Agreement to manage floodplain development for the national flood insurance program, and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Resolution and Agreement. |
