| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | The Marquette Maritime Museum Association, Inc. has requested the City Commission renew an agreement to allow them to conduct tours of the lighthouse on the property previously owned by the U.S. Coast Guard. The Marquette Maritime Museum Association, Inc. and City have been partnering under a similar agreement since 2017. Staff has worked with the City Attorney and The Marquette Maritime Museum Association, Inc. to draft a standard Use Agreement which provides for the terms and conditions of the request. The monthly payment will be one-half of The Marquette Maritime Museum Associations, Inc.'s gross revenue derived from lighthouse tours. The term of the agreement shall be from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027.
The City of Marquette Lighthouse Property Land Use Plan supports this agreement. |

| | | | | | | | | FISCAL EFFECT: | | The Lakeshore and Lighthouse Park Fund will receive one-half of the gross monthly revenue derived from lighthouse tours. Last year the City received $15,350. |
