BACKGROUND:

The Noquemanon Trails Network Council (NTN) has requested a lease agreement for office and storage space at Lakeview Arena. Staff worked with the City Attorney and NTN to draft a standard lease agreement which provides for the terms and conditions of the request. The monthly lease payment will be $876.83. The term of the lease is one year.

This lease is for a larger space within Lakeview that has not been rented in several years. The space NTN currently rents is half the size and $540.75 per month. A portion of the rent for the new space, equal to $200 per month, will be provided to the City via in-kind services.

City Charter requires lease agreements to be presented for two reads. The first read of this agreement was January 8, 2024.

FISCAL EFFECT:

The Lakeview Arena fund will receive $10,521.96 in revenue between monetary payment and in-kind services for FY 2024.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the lease agreement with Noquemanon Trails Network Council for office space at Lakeview Arena, and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the agreement.
