FEMA Grant Application for Fire Department Ladder Truck |
| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | | The Fire Department's current ladder truck is a 1996 Pierce. Due to the age and condition of the apparatus, it will need to be replaced in the near future. The estimated cost to replace the ladder truck is $1,852,951.63 and the lead time for delivery is currently four to five years from purchase date. Due to the timeline and cost, the Fire Chief would like to apply for a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) of up to $1,000,000.00. If approved, the grant would require a 10% match. The City would be obligated to accept the grant and purchase the apparatus if awarded. |
