BACKGROUND:

The Marquette Yacht Club is submitting a permit to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) to expand their current bottomland agreement to add four new slips to their facility. This permit application (EGLE Submission #: HPX-366X-97164) requires approval from the City of Marquette.

The addition would increase the Club's bottomland agreement with the State from 0.3 acres to 0.5 acres and allow the current 26 slips to be expanded to 30 slips.

FISCAL EFFECT:

None with this action.

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the Marquette Yacht Club's application to the State of Michigan to expand their bottomland agreement from 0.3 acres to 0.5 acres.

As determined by the Commission.
