BACKGROUND:

City staff routinely evaluates the motor pool fleet for obsolete and high mileage equipment. The following light duty vehicles have been recommended for sale due to high maintenance issues and frame corrosion.

#845: 2015 Ford Explorer SUV

#786: 2008 Ford F150 Pickup

#586: 1991 Chevy Pickup

#787: 2008 Ford F150 Pickup

#685: 2000 Ford Ranger Pickup

#854: 2016 Dodge Charger

#865: 2017 Dodge Charger

#752: 2005 Chevy Yukon

FISCAL EFFECT:

Proceeds from the sale of these vehicles will be credited to the City’s Motor Pool Fund - Sale of Fixed Assets.

RECOMMENDATION:

Declare multiple light duty vehicles as surplus, and authorize City staff to prepare the vehicles for auction.

ALTERNATIVES:

As determined by the Commission.
