| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | | A representative of the Marquette Guts Frisbee Association recently contacted the City and requested the adoption of a resolution recognizing them as a local non-profit organization. They plan to conduct a fundraising raffle on August 5, 2023, and the Bureau of State Lottery requires the local governing body to first recognize their designation as a non-profit organization. The group has provided the City with a copy of the proposed resolution, a roster of their board of trustees, confirmation of their IRS 501(c)(3) designation, and articles of incorporation. Organizations supply this information when asking the Commission for this recognition, in accordance with City Commission Policy 2011-01. |
