The former Marquette Mall site is in the process of being redeveloped and split up into multiple parcels.  As part of this redevelopment process, new water and sewer utilities have been placed.  The utility site plan was reviewed and administratively approved as required by the City Land Development Code.  These utilities have also been inspected by City Staff to ensure that the materials and placement meet current City and State standards.   The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) and the City of Marquette Code of Ordinances both require that these utilities be owned by the City since they will service separate parcels that are under separate ownership.

The easements have been approved and recorded by the various grantors but have not yet been approved by the grantee (City).

Approve the easements recorded in document numbers 2023R-00112 and 2023R-03156, Marquette County records, and adopt the utilities as described in these agreements.
