| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | The City of Marquette has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $8 million for the demolition of a portion of the former Marquette General Hospital, owned by the Northern Michigan University Foundation. A component of the CDBG grant is a certified grant administrator (CGA) for management and administrative services for the implementation of the grant.
The City distributed a request for proposals (RFP) for a CGA to eligible parties through the process set by the MEDC and received three responses, detailed below. Due to the proximity of the organization, familiarity with Marquette, experience, cost per hour, and total time allotted in the bid, the City Manager’s Office is recommending awarding the CGA contract to the Central Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Regional Commission (CUPPAD).
