Land Development Code Amendments - Roll Call Vote

BACKGROUND: 

On April 12, 2022, the Planning Commission conducted a Public Hearing for the consideration of a comprehensive set of amendments to the Land Development Code that had been the subject of several months of work and refinement before this meeting. After considering the proposed amendments and conducting a Public Hearing, the Planning Commission approved the following motion:

 

It was moved by S. Mittlefehldt, seconded by M. Dunn and carried 8-0 that after review of the draft Land Development Code (LDC) amendments presented as case 01-ZOA-04-2022, and after conducting a Public Hearing and careful consideration of the contents of the draft LDC amendments, the Planning Commission finds that the draft LDC amendments are consistent with the recommendations, goals, and policy objectives of the Community Master Plan, comply with section 54.1405 of the Land Development Code and therefore are justified and appropriate and therefore should be approved by the City Commission as presented.

 

These amendments were approved by the City Commission at the May 31 regular meeting, however a clerical error led to the exclusion of two paragraphs, which should have been included in the proposal. These two paragraphs cover amendments to sections 54.1107 and 54.1109 within the Land Development Code's Article 11 - Signs.

 

In the attached draft ordinance, strikethroughs indicate repealed content, while yellow highlights indicate newly added material. This public hearing was scheduled at the Commission's June 27 regular meeting.


FISCAL EFFECT: 
None.

RECOMMENDATION: 
Following the Public Hearing, approve Ordinance 713, which makes amendments to the Land Development Code.
