BACKGROUND:

McClellan Avenue was extended from Fair Avenue to Wright Street in 2012. Center Street was also extended east of West Avenue as part of this same project. The extended streets were previously dedicated into the City of Marquette Public Act 51 (PA 51) road network. However, the right of way areas have not been formally dedicated by City Commission resolution. PA 51 requires that City streets reside in dedicated right of ways. This resolution will fulfill the PA 51 requirement.

FISCAL EFFECT:

None.

RECOMMENDATION:

Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the resolutions designating the McClellan Avenue and Center Street right of ways.

As determined by the Commission.
