Senior Services - Master Agreement to Purchase Services |
| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | Presented for consideration is the Master Agreement to purchase services for senior service programs for older residents in the City of Marquette and Chocolay, Marquette, and Powell townships. Under this agreement, the County of Marquette agrees to expend millage funds to purchase senior services from the City.
In a given year, approximately half of the Marquette Senior Center revenue comes through similar agreements, under which municipalities purchase services from the Center. This agreement represents a significant part of the Senior Center's operational revenues.
It should be noted that the 2022 calendar year millage allocation is $408,791. This represents an increase of $8,016, or 2 percent, from the previous year's agreement. It should also be noted that the reimbursement will be paid in a lump sum to be allocated monthly. |
