Audit Contract for Fiscal Years 2021 through 2023

BACKGROUND: 

The contract for the City's required annual audit is due for renewal.  With Anderson, Tackman & Company, PLC being the only local CPA firm able to conduct the City's audit and because this is a professional service that does not require a formal Request for Proposal, City staff has negotiated terms for a three-year contract.  The City's Chief Financial Officer and Staff Accountant have concluded the negotiated costs to be appropriate and in line with previous years.


FISCAL EFFECT: 
The contract amounts of $51,000 for FY2021; $53,500 for FY2022; and $56,000 for FY2023 will be included in the respective budgets.

RECOMMENDATION: 
Approve a three-year contract for annual audit services with Anderson, Tackman & Company, PLC in the amounts of $51,000 for FY2021; $53,500 for FY2022; and $56,000 for FY2023; and authorize the Chief Financial Officer to sign the contract.

As determined by the Commission.
