The City of Marquette received grant funding from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) through the Michigan Coastal Management Program for the design and construction of the southern portion of the Lakeshore Boulevard restoration project.  This portion of the project is being broken out of the larger Lakeshore project since the grant requires the work be completed by March 31, 2022.  This work is mainly comprised of habitat restoration.  RES is currently part of a design team working for the City of Marquette in partnership with Superior Watershed Partnership on habitat restoration on the rest of the Lakeshore Boulevard project to the north of the area.  They are familiar with the project area and best suited to complete the required design work.
