Noquemanon Trails Network - Grooming Permit |
| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | The Noquemanon Trails Network Council (NTN) has requested the City Commission consider granting a permit to groom the pedestrian corridor for snow bikes. The permit would allow the NTN to conduct snow grooming activities between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. October 1, 2019 through May 1, 2020. The area groomed would be the old railroad grade adjacent to Lakeshore Boulevard beginning at Ohio Street and ending near the road bridge on County Road 550. The grooming would be conducted using a snowmobile and tow-behind groomer or stand-up unit, both owned and operated by the NTN.
Having this path groomed would allow for snow bikers, walkers and classic skiers to have a snow covered alternative to the bike path throughout the winter. |
