Underbody Plow Blades, Plow Shoes and Cutting Edges |
| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | Annually, the City of Marquette Motor Pool Division purchases plow blades, plow shoes and cutting edges for the winter plow season. During an average winter, the Motor Pool Division will replace 115 underbody blades and approximately 25 cutting edges. The following three vendors submitted quotes: GPM Inc. of Duluth, Minnesota, RMS of Negaunee, Michigan and H & L Mesabi of Negaunee, Michigan.
H&L Mesabi is being recommended as the only company to provide a complete quote as they can provide all cutting edges utilized by the City, excluding OEM specific blades. |

| | | | | | | | | FISCAL EFFECT: | The FY 19/20 Motor Pool operating budget contains $45,000 for underbody plow blades, plow shoes and cutting edges. |
