Date Established/Background:  Established by the City Commission on June 1, 1954, consolidated with Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on January 28, 2002, and returned to a full standing autonomous advisory board of the City Commission on February 12, 2007.  The City Commission approved a new mission for the Committee on Oct. 14, 2014.  

Mission: The Harbor Advisory Committee advises the City Commission on shoreline, waterfront development and offshore waters near Marquette with an emphasis on harbor development regarding both pleasure craft and commercial vessels and the operations of marinas, mooring fields and launch facilities.

Number of Members & Term of Office:  Seven members serving three-year terms.

Meetings Held:  Second Tuesday of each month at 5:15 p.m.  Meetings are held in Citizens Forum at Lakeview Arena, 401 E. Fair Ave.
