Date Established: The City of Marquette Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (MBRA) was established by the City Commission on September 8, 1997 to, among other things, facilitate the implementation of Brownfield plans relating to the designation and treatment of Brownfield redevelopment zones; to promote the revitalization of environmental distressed areas and, subject to such limitations and conditions as are or may be prescribed by law, exercise such other powers as may be conferred upon the Authority.
Number of Members & Term of Office: Seven members serving three-year terms, except for the 2008 appointees will serve staggered terms of one, two, and three-year terms. The City Treasurer serves as an ex-officio member by virtue of the office she holds.
Meetings Held: The Authority meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Municipal Service Center, located at 1100 Wright St.
