The Marquette City Commission at the June 30, 2025 regular meeting, established a temporary task force charged with evaluating issues related to e-bike usage within the City of Marquette, as well as the varied uses of the City's multi-use path network.

The task force has seven total members: three representatives from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, three representatives from the Traffic-Parking Advisory Committee, and one City Commissioner.

The task force will gather input from a wide range of stakeholders, including residents, business owners, trail users, and advocacy groups.

Following its work, the task force will present a summary report to the City Commission no later than December 21, 2025. This report may include specific policy recommendations or outline a range of regulatory and programmatic options for the Commission’s consideration.
