Summary:

Date Established/Background:  In order to ensure meaningful public involvement in the Land Development Code (LDC) Project, a 12-18 month process, staff requested that the City Commission establish a Land Development Code Project Advisory Committee. The City Commission Rules of Procedure allow for the establishment of such groups, provided they have specific tasks to be accomplished and a date is set for dissolution of the task force. It was recommended that this task force be comprised of eight members and would sunset after a 12-month period. The City Planner will be the staff liaison to the LDC Advisory Committee.

 

On July 31, 2017, the City Commission approved convening the task force for the period September 5, 2017 - September 5, 2018

Number of Members & Term of Office:  Eight members serving one year terms.

Do members serve until a replacement is appointed?  No.

Quorum Requirement:  Per section 13-4 of the City Charter, a quorum of any board, commission, or committee created by or pursuant to this charter shall be a majority of the members of such board, commission, or committee in office at the time, but not less than two members.
