Date Established: Established by City Charter (effective March 27 1893). The Board hears appeals on property assessment. Power, duties and procedures are set by State Law and the City Charter.
Number of Members & Term of Office: Five members serving three-year terms.
Meetings Held: The Board meets on three separate days in March in the City Commission Chambers to review the assessment roll and to hear complaints. A one-day session is held as needed each July and December to correct clerical errors.
