Date Established/Background:  Established by the City Commission prior to 1974.  The City Commission approved a new mission for the Board on Oct. 14, 2014.  

Mission: The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board advises the City Commission on the operation of the parks system, Lakeview Arena, and recreation programs.

Number of Members & Term of Office:  Nine members serving three-year terms. 

Meetings Held: The scheduled meetings are at 5:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month, except for January, February, April, November, and December which will be held on the second Monday.
